What will I learn and
how?
You will familiarize the multiple dimensions of fundraising, including internal procedures, gran identification, grant and donor analysis, project development and proposal writing.
GN Grant Writing Basics is divided into six modules. Each module is composed of two different sections:
1) The first section is the theoretical grant writing lecture
2) The second section is instead devoted to analyzing project and partnership case stories
3) Q&A & discussion sessions, bringing together (non-compulsory) attendees divided into regional groups
How long will it take?
Approximately 5-5.5 hrs.
Will I get a certificate at the end?
Yes, after you complete all the chapters in the lesson. case studies, discussion forum, and feedback surveys.

Yes, if you're staff in charge of writing ODA grant proposals. (If not, you can still apply!)
In 2021, GNI held a workshop titled <Step Up! ODA Grants> as the first step in developing strategies for ODA grants from each supporting country to analyze their ODA environment. At this time, we prepared this workshop to share know-how of GNI’s ODA planning and core project model and examples of each sector to expand the ODA project of supporting countries.

- Module 1: Process of ODA project planning
- Module 2: GNI Education ODA projects
- Module 3: GNI Health and WASH ODA projects
- Module 4: GNI Community Development ODA projects
- Module 5: GNI Humanitarian ODA projects
- Module 6: GNI ODA(bilateral) working flow
- Module 7: ODA experience of GN Japan
How long will it take?
Approximately within 1-1.5 hrs.
Will I get a certificate at the end?
No. But, you may use this course as a reference or guideline to better understand ODA grant work with Good Neighbors International.

- Core Staff involved in proposal writing and/or project designing,
- Staff who contributes to logical framework, risk management, and budget planning, and
- Cross-departmental staff who are responsible for governance and policies (particularly for Due Diligence module 6).
However, it is also optional for any staff who are involved in project management during the implementation phase or any interested staff who are eager to learn programme management.
What will I learn and how?
Self-direct through 5 modules. You will get to build your knowledge and confidence to design and implement programmes funded by UK donors. The presented key principles and concepts for successful programme management are based on the guideline and standards of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
How long will it take?
Each module takes approximately 15 minutes, so you can actually complete the course within an hour in one sit.
Will I get a certificate at the end?
Yes, after submitting the feedback survey.
